Highest recorded level=1090.22 feet (April 1997, per MN DNR)
The Sauk River Chain of Lakes Association uses an electronic monitoring buoy to measure and report real-time lake level and water temperature data. The LAKESCOUT buoy (www.winrectech.com) is located on Horseshoe Lake. The NAVD 88 datum is the reference for measurement.
The river gauge at St. Martin will be the leading indicator of when the lake level will change or peak: Sauk River- St, Martin Gauge.
